OZ Minerals joins UWA I4.0 ERDi TestLab

Published 19/4/2022

The University of Western Australia’s Industry 4.0 ERDi TestLab is excited to welcome South Australian based mining company OZ Minerals as our latest Associate Industry member.

OZ Minerals’ company purpose of “Going beyond what’s possible to make lives better” is measured across value creation, sustainability, culture and performance and is underpinned by a strategy that includes partnering, innovating, investing responsibly and being devolved and agile.

This aligns perfectly with the vision and pillars that underpin the collaborative innovation process of Platform Industry 4.0, the peak body driving the evolution of what is now commonly known as the 4th Industrial Revolution.

At ERDi, we are really looking forward to working with the OZ Minerals team and exploring how Industry 4.0 approaches can enable value creation for all their stakeholders.

“OZ Minerals is a company I’ve been keen to work with, as I’ve heard many good things from colleagues over the years, but COVID-19 restrictions made it somewhat difficult to engage until recently. Having now had the opportunity to spend some time with the OZ Minerals team, I can confidently say I’m excited about what they may be able to achieve. It’s obvious they are open to doing things differently, learning and collaborating and challenging themselves, which in my experience is critical in being able to move forward.” - John Kirkman of the UWA ERDi TestLab.
